The Executive Secretariat will be composed of:

• Director, Land and Water Division of FAO
• Professionals and resource persons from Land and Water Division and representatives of other relevant divisions of FAO

The Executive Secretariat, under the supervision of the Steering Committee, will be responsible for undertaking and implementing the preparation of the substantive and technical aspects of the Conference.

The Executive Secretariat is responsible for the day-to-day organization of the Conference including the drafting of all documents to be considered by the Steering Committee as well as the letters of invitation by the Director-General and the Memorandum of Understanding with the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.
